To be an assistant is usually first to have a communication,
file and folder treatment activity, with a degree of autonomy
which evolves with experience. To be an assistant is first
to carry out organisation and service management or analysis
tasks. The position evolves to the in-house manager assistant.
For a direct collaboration with the department head, we
talk about functional assistance.
Trained assistant able to take initiatives and to assist
efficiently executives. The personal assistant should intervene
essentially in the fields of communication, organization,
and office organisation. The PA is the collaborator of a
general manager, of a department manager, or of a service
head.
(S)he is the link between the company and its environment, between his/her service
and other services, (s)he has a communication key position and contributes to
give a human face to the company.
Communication skills (spoken and written), synthesis and analysis mind, adaptation
and anticipation capacity, sense of organisation and sense of confidentiality.
The tri-lingual secretary should master foreign languages.
